SUDDEN
DARKNESS on the RIVER TRAIL ! ! ! article
by; Hathaway Jones 'On the Rogue River Trail'
Ta other night I was runnin'
late from a board meetin' in Bagnell at the Tall Tales Gazette office. I
was workin' ma way along the river pretty near where the Bradley boys a bin homesteadin'
their family ranch since as long as I kin recollect.
I was still on the trail when it got dark. I could see pretty good myself until
we got to black forest. The trees are so thick that it gets pitch dark in there
at night, even with a pretty good moon. I weren't too concerned though,
cuz I was just hangin' the reins over the saddle horn and lettin' the mule follow
the trail.

Well this night, we
were darned near in the middle of the dark forest when the mule stopped cold.
I knew something was wrong when she did that. I
reached in my pocket and got out a match and lit it. When it is that dark a match
will light up large area and I saw right away why my mule had stopped.

Sittin' on a log right next to the trail was the Bradley boys, reading a Sears
and Roebuck Catalog. 'That

The
Tall Tales Gazette announced last week at their 80th annual stock holder board
meeting, that the Gazette would embark upon an agressive plan to expand their
corporate housing for visiting executives and board members. The
plan will include penthouse suites in a high rise style development. The
project is being funded through the Ivan Jones Trust with the financial funds
backed by the future growth of the Gazette.
New penthouse suites to mirror current housing. | Final
plans are expected to be approved by the City of Bagnell Planning and Development
Board. The property is owned by the Gazette and will be a blend of designs that
will integrate seamlessly with the executive townhomes already established. Final
completion of the project is planned for autumn of 2012.

Friday on the 13th of the month Gazette reporter Hilda 'Jeffy' Ferguson was covering
a Homeland Security story at the Big Bend International Airport (BIA) north of
the metropolis of Agness when all attention was drawn to the drama unfolding out
on runway 26 right, the main north south runway at the always busy airport. Luckily
no one was hurt, as all walked away with out needing medical treatment. The vehicles,
the aircraft and a few pair of underclothing were damaged beyond repair. Airport
operations were slowed for several hours during investigation and cleanup. Air
services spokeswoman Beth Jenkins stated, "All systems were working to
the maximum performance, the runways and equipment were finished with cleanup
and back to their stations with in 127 minutes of the reported incident." The
FCC, CIA, Homeland Security and FAA are investigating the incident. Reports will
be forthcoming sometime next year. New
Brewery Now Open For Daily Tours article

B.O.O.B.S. "Brewing Oregons
Original Beer and Spirits",
opened it's new brewery last week in conjucntion with the Grand Opening of the
Bagnell Factory Outlet Mall. The stores and brewery are located on the Bagnell
property owned by the Jones family. The
Brewery is of course on the up river side where the water is cleanest. The mall
which will hold more than 50 unique stores when full leased, has already exceded
it's projected sales for the first week.
After the Tall Tales Gazette Complex was finished last week, the family decided
it's best move was to give the mall a long term lease. Even with current economic
conditions being harsh, the mall has employed many locals to not only construct
the stores but to man & woman the cash registers. Management
says that the area around the mall shows continued growth and that the new resort
complex being planned will enhance the area and the businesses even more.
